Bospar No. 6 2022 San Francisco Business Times 50 Fastest-Growing LGBTQ-owned Businesses

SAN FRANCISCO — June 13, 2022 — Bospar, the “Politely Pushy®” PR firm that puts tech companies on the map, announced today that it is No. 6  on the San Francisco Business Times list of the 50 fastest-growing LGBTQ-owned businesses in the Bay Area. The ranking was determined by company-wide 2021 revenue growth. Bospar increased its revenue 83.4% year-over-year, reaching $12.4 million at the end of 2021. Financial Times also recently recognized Bospar’s exceptional financial growth, listing the agency as one of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the Americas.

Bospar has grown from its foundation in PR into a full-service, award-winning technology communications company that offers expertise in media and investor relations, crisis communications, reputation management, organic and paid social media marketing, content marketing, digital advertising, and influencer marketing. Technology companies across every sector, including FinTech, MedTech, HealthTech, Cybersecurity, and InsureTech, trust Bospar to help drive their visibility and category leadership.

“Despite a pandemic and now a potential economic downturn, Bospar continues to succeed financially, and I attribute this to every one of our ‘Bospartan’ employees, who are fully committed and passionate about every tech client they service while always demonstrating compassion towards each other and working together as one, symbiotic family,” said Curtis Sparrer, a co-founder and principal of Bospar.

Bospar is also recognized as a strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.  Rather than feeling defeated by new and terrifying U.S. laws and regulations affecting LGBTQ+ communities, the company launched “Bospar Stands Up” to serve as a blueprint for others to follow, demonstrating that private citizens and businesses – regardless of size – have the power to create changes on a state-by-state local level. For example, Bospar launched the”We Say Gay and Offer $20K” grant in response to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law. This effort awards Florida educators affected by the law a grant of up to $20K for continuing education.

The agency recently helped pen a compromise statement between San Francisco Pride and the San Francisco Police Officers Pride Alliance to allow some uniformed police officers to march in the city’s upcoming Pride parade. Bospar began working with the San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration Committee on June 1, and the agreement was published the next day. It amended a previous decision that banned officers from wearing uniforms but allowed other types of police-affiliated apparel. Bospar counseled the client, led media outreach, and crafted the compromise statement. Bospar VP Kristin Sommers will marshal all of the vast communications challenges for the 52nd annual San Francisco Pride weekend, which runs from June 24 to 26.
