Boutique tech PR firm off to a great 2022
SAN FRANCISCO—JANUARY 31, 2022—Bospar, the boutique PR firm that puts tech companies on the map, is a finalist for five Ragan’s Social Impact Awards. Curtis Sparrer, Bospar principal and co-founder, is nominated for two awards: CSR Professional of the Year and the Ally Award. Bospar Messes With Texas is nominated for three awards: Campaign by a LGBTQIA2+ Owned Business; Human Rights Campaign; and Social Good/Responsibility Campaign.
Ragan’s Social Impact Awards honor outstanding CSR and DEI initiatives and companies that use their platforms to better their community and the global community at large. Bospar Messes With Texas is the agency’s initiative to push back against eroding reproductive rights. Following Texas’ restrictive abortion ban, Bospar leadership announced they would pay all relocation fees for its Texas-based employees concerned about retaining control of their reproductive choices.
The awards will be announced April 20 at the Social Impact Awards & Summit at the Ritz Carlton in Arlington, Va.
“We are incredibly grateful to be recognized by Ragan for our Bospar Messes With Texas initiative,” said Curtis Sparrer, principal and co-founder of Bospar. “When we heard one of our female employees who lived in Texas was considering moving out of the state due to the Texas abortion ban, we knew we had to act. The relocation offer was a way to let our employees know that we care deeply about their well-being, which includes being able to make choices about their reproductive healthcare. We have the most amazing team in PR, and Bospar leadership is committed to making sure they know how much they are valued.”
Being shortlisted for five Ragan Social Impact Awards is the latest recognition of Bospar’s continued distinction in the PR profession. In December 2021, the agency was named a finalist in 17 categories in the Innovation SABRE Awards North America 2022, including Innovator of the Year, Employee Activism/Engagement and Best in Social Good + Public Service + Activism and in six categories as part of the PRWeek 2022 US Awards. Inc. magazine awarded Bospar a bronze medal in the civic engagement category as part of the publication’s 2021 Best in Business list. PRNews recognized the agency with three Platinum PR Awards for 2021, including one for best product launch (consumer) for work done for client Bio Bidet. Earlier in 2021, Inc. included Bospar in the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., and PRovoke Media named the agency the winner of the Northern American SABRE award in the category of e-commerce.
