Bospar: we’re friends
As I was gathering my thoughts to write this blog post, Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” lyrics swirled around in my head on repeat. (Side note: if you ever have the privilege of seeing Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, take the opportunity.)
You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I’ll come running…
Though short and sweet, these lyrics perfectly represent Bospar’s unique agency structure and culture. Read on to find out why.
Just Call Out My Name
This line represents a couple different things to me. First, if a Bospartan calls out for help, someone from the agency (likely more than one) will respond with guidance or assistance. On any given account, account executives feel comfortable seeking advice from vice presidents. This lyric also reminds me of how Bospartans have the ability to create their own professional opportunities. A culture of continuous growth and skills-based learning is what every company wants these days, but how many of them are actually offering it to their employees? If you ever want the chance to try something new professionally or challenge yourself – by participating in new business or being a member of an agency task force – you will be encouraged and supported at Bospar. And all employees are partnered with a mentor, giving them one more person to turn to if needed.
Wherever I Am
This lyric is pretty self-explanatory, but it’s worth mentioning that Bospar has been working remotely – and hiring the best talent, regardless of location – since 2015. This makes us unique for a whole host of reasons. We’ve mastered the art of newsjacking with team members spanning coast to coast, and our day quite literally lasts longer, since you might have account team members spanning multiple time zones. Our staff is spread throughout the US, but everyone works the same hours in their respective time zones.
I’ll Come Running
We don’t walk, we run. Really – even our principals respond to emails within 15 minutes. But we’re not your casual joggers trailing behind our clients’ needs – we’re seasoned marathon runners, guiding clients to success and pushing boundaries in the process. We operate with speed and precision, whether it be to deliver content to our clients or to secure coverage on their behalf. We are proud to have secured more coverage for our clients in a span of days than other agencies could in a year. We know time is of the essence, especially in an increasingly competitive media landscape, and every time you meet with our team, we’ll have an update for you.
In conclusion, I must add that despite Carole’s lyrics being in the first person singular, this does not represent Bospar. Bospar is the most tight-knit team I’ve ever been a part of, and we truly are a cohesive unit. If we Bospartans sang Carole’s song, we’d sing in the first person plural. Every win is a win for us all, and a challenge or hardship for one person never falls on his or her shoulders alone.
By the way, we’re hiring.
